Maybe I've just played too many games with it, but the skill "tree" that's just a nonsensically-connected grid is so tired and really ugly to look at. If you want to make your upgrade tree more visually appealing, and easier to glance across, please please please consider making the upgrades placed in more interesting ways.

Fun game :) I think you should look into making the tooltip on the skill tree only appear when I'm hovering over a skill. There was a good chunk of the skill tree at the very beginning I missed because it was covered

I love the theme and expanding to a massive bookshelf!

Several times, spills spawned partly off-screen so just a tiny part was visible. Those were very frustrating to find.

Not bad. Would love to see upgrades to automatically deal with thieves (or stop them from showing up in the first place), and to automatically deal with spills.

Really nice! A bit unsettling that, despite the large update tree, there seems to be not one thing you can update against those thieves!

Really enjoyed the demo! Can't wait to play the hole game. Nice!

Great game, agree with most of the feedback already given so won't bore you with that, but definitely on to something with this format!

Dude this game was amazing and made my day! Thank you!

each book should have its own shelf

i'd love an upgrade to fix the leaky roof and a burglar alarm or security guard upgrade to reduce the odds of thieves, or at least a way to upgrade the rewards from catching them ($1 is piddling by the late game)

(1 edit)

Fully upgraded printers can never keep up with custemers, even when hovering over them. Shelves are emty.

Edit: Nevermind, I had too many books on recyclenig.

Featured in this week's Weekend Games :D

I ran into 2 issues.

First, the upgrade tree needs to remember zoom and position.

Second, sometimes it can be hard to see dirty floor items at night. Perhaps have them highlighted when hovering over a complainer

All upgrades obtained. Not a bad little game.

Some feedback and suggestions:

  1. Offline progression - Being an HTML/browser game, the game just halts when you lose focus, such as when scrolling down here to read comments. This is also a pain when you play multiple games at once, which I often do (particularly when reaching end of content in one)

  2. Automatic Coin Collection - You’ve got manager-type upgrades that add new NPCs to serve various purposes. I’d love to see an upgrade for automatically collecting those coins. Maybe a roomba or something?

  3. Statistics - A way to check current price of books would be amazing, maybe a stats button somewhere? Just a one-screen breakdown of prices would be nice, along with anything else you think belongs there.

  4. Sleeping = Skip - Having a customer fall asleep while they are trying to line up completely halts the selling of books until the customer is woken up by mouse hover. Some way to avoid this would be appreciated.

  5. Caffeine Rush - Customers who have purchased coffee shouldn’t be falling asleep, in my honest opinion.

  6. Confirmation - Both the Reset button (in settings) and the end of demo need some kind of popup confirmation. In the case of the Reset, just a quick “Are you sure?” type thing; and when the last upgrade is purchased it would be nice to see a “Demo Completed” type notif as well.

  7. Character Skins - Just for fun, I’d like to be able to customize the clerk’s appearance lol.

  8. Arcade - A simple arcade machine in the corner of the room that people can play for a small fee, primarily to give them something to do while the bookshelves have a crowd around them. (Upgrades for earnings and more machines)

  9. Cat/Dog - A pet in a bookstore might be a fun addition. Boosts sale price by a small amount per upgrade (could fit into the global multi in upgrades)

I think that’s it for the current update. (A Small Update May 3rd(?) 2026) Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the final version.

Nice game, I like it a lot.

Why purple white and black books can be burned but not to be obtained...

Maybe is one of first updates

Hope upgrade tree grow very much and final version come asap.

Finished the game and bought every upgrade. Really liked it. Good flow. Only critique was the upgrade UI. I had trouble telling which upgrades were purchasable or not. Started going through them one by one. Late game I finally noticed the little prices under each and it was much easier.

Finished it. Bought all the upgrades. Great game! Had tons of fun with it. I left the game going a couple times for a while, then came back to a yellow ocean of coins lol. So satisfying picking up all those coins.

Also loving the SFXs, and the music is really nice too.

Purchased every upgrade and I regret nothing :D
Super fun, good job!
One upgrade I'd like to see in the final game is one that allows printers to keep printing even when bookshelves are full, and those books go immediately into the printer.

awesome start... cashier multiple upgrade is not working... it could be good idea to not make upgrades fullscreen ... feels like of jumping In and out

cashier multiple upgrade does work. It processes multiple books, for when customers have multiple books. Not multiple customers at a time.

Great concept and I could see this game selling well so I hope you keep developing it.

two thoughts on improvements:

1. The Upgrade tree is not immediately intuitive on what I can/can't afford. I don't believe the red/yellow outline is enough of an indicator compared to most games that just gray the upgrade out completely until you can afford to purchase it.

2. The initial "hover to interact" mechanic makes me believe this will be more hands off compared to a "click or click and hold to interact" mechanic. So when I was hovering over the book printer I was expecting the cashier to already be automated and vice versa. I think this would be solved by using a click to hold mechanic instead of just hover.

Again, love the concept so far and definitely interested in playing your future versions of this.

So apparently, the RESET button in the Setting, where there is only audio options, doesn't reset the AUDIO settings >.>

It also doesn't have confirmation.

Lol. Should probably add a confirmation.

Still playing the game. Really fun!

Feedback: I feel like the game should continue running when I open Upgrades, not get paused. As in, the customers and printers and stuff. Right now, when I open Upgrades, they all stop. Don't know if that's by design, but I feel like they should continue as normal.

The settings menu is more of a placeholder at the moment. The pause in the Upgrades is by design in order to prevent missing out on Thieves and other things, but I might reconsider it over time. Thanks for feedback!

A pleasant surprise. I've paid for worse.
