A well-crafted game with great atmosphere. The gameplay is simple but intense, and nothing feels incomplete or unpolished. Also, mad respect for the protagonist for being able to take 10-minute naps under mounting pressure.

Now excuse me as I put on a diaper and try True Night mode

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such detailed feedback!

There's a bit of color banding in the background, right? No joke, but I actually thought it was an optical illusion :P Enabling dithering on the camera appears to have fixed it. Many thanks for pointing it out!

This is so good! Everything in the scene interact with each other perfectly. It's especially funny seeing objects stacked on top of each other.
While the bird's mechanics is all about kicking things into it, I think it'd be nice if you could also force it to briefly fly off by kicking its perch.

Thanks for the feedback!

I originally planned to add an audio indicator with increasing pitch as the mouse is held, but couldn't figure out the technical stuff. Could have gone for some kind of particle effect now that I think of it.

It seems that difficulty doesn't scale so you could theoretically go forever, but death is always just a few mistakes away. This alone captures the theme of drowsy driving perfectly!

Peak story!! <3
The recurring option to eat adds so much reality to the premise, even though I've never actually clicked them. Until morbid curiosity gets the better of me, I guess :P

Excuse me for borrowing the thread, but if you ever need a Simplified Chinese localisation I'd be happy to volunteer!

Resources seem to overflow way too easily. I don't want to beg for food since it makes no sense, but I also don't want to go to a restaurant since my morale is already full, so I end up begging for food just to "pass a turn". Ow :')

The Beam preset says it has 20% energy damage bonus and 20% kinetic damage malus, but where is it applied? To the flagship, or the entire fleet?
In fact, I would say all stats in the game would benefit from having a summary of relevant modifiers instead of just showing a number.

Events feel a bit... uneventful? I didn't even realise they existed until almost completing the upgrade web.

Good game, cheers!

Hi Greg, if you need Simplified Chinese localisation please hit me up. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and would whore myself out for free to get it translated. MORE PEOPLE MUST KNOW THE JOY OF GAINZ

Not sure if anyone else has reported this, but I sometimes get into negative gains from picking postures that reset gains.
Otherwise the game is perfect and I am feeling YOKED

Is it intentional that players can't take any old callsigns they've used after wiping previous progress?
Great game btw :)

What a beautiful translation! It was a joy to read.

There were minor typos, and I think you mistook "Major Rawson" for "Mayor Rawson", but honestly these don't matter so much. Just a matter of polishing it up.

¡Saludos!

This is a much more faithful translation than LocJAM's sample version, and the creative elements were a nice surprise. However, I found it not quite as good in terms of readability and presentation. A lot of sentences clearly inherited their syntax from the French original, appearing less like sentences, but more like fractured clauses littered between jarring commas and periods.

I feel like things as simple as some well-placed conjunctions could do well to "oil up" this piece and make it flow better. Maybe also check out LocJAM's English version now that the JAM is over? I found its language style something to learn from.

Overall, GJ, cheers!    :D

I think I did something wrong during submission and the project uploaded didn't show up in the list of entries. I already asked in another thread, but for now I'll post it here in case nothing else works.

First time in a jam here, sorry for not knowing my way around :'(

Same here. Complete newbie to itch.io, uploaded the project just fine but it doesn't seem to have shown up in submission entries.
