It's in pinned messages in the beta builds channel. The version there is still the old 0.2.3a1 beta. The new 0.3.0a1 beta (or whatever it'll be called) is expected to arrive later this month

There's a new beta version coming later this month on our Discord server

The next update will include architectures and a large market expansion. There's a detailed list of planned features you can check out on the Discord server

I'm glad you liked it!

I will not be commenting on everything because that is indeed a large list, but some of the things you listed are planned for the next update.

The yield bug is actually a feature! What happened there is that you researched a better frequency technology, which made it easier to achieve 2.70 GHz in new designs, resulting in higher yields and lower unit cost, even while using the same frequency, package and process node as the old CPU. In the upcoming beta, the Inspector window will show both the CPU frequency and the frequency technology used in that design.

The game should be coming to Steam sooner or later.

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoy it!

That could be a good way to show more information without cluttering the UI, yeah. Maybe adding an "Additional Modifiers" tooltip, or simply showing more information within existing tooltips.

Yes, that's an intended behavior from Cyrux. They basically roleplay as Cyrix, which was very price aggressive in real life.

I do have plans for the Sockets, yes. They're very basic right now, as you mentioned, but there's a lot of room for expansion!

Also, feel free to join our Discord server. It's much easier to keep track of suggestions there!

I agree. Reviews would be neat!

That's planned for a future update!

If you are using the same manufacturer as them, they might have agreed on a lower markup rate with the manufacturer than you did (it defaults to 100% with no contract). You can check their contracts in the Business tab to see if that's the case.

But if you are using a different manufacturer, or even manufacturing on your own, then it could be a difference in the wafer size (the larger the wafer, the more chips are produced, and the lower the unit cost), or in the lithography, yield percentages, etc.

It could be many things really. They might also be selling at a loss. It's part of the AI strategy to do this when lithography yields are still low.

To use their lines you need to outsource the production of your CPUs. You can do that by selecting their lithography when creating a new CPU. Also, make sure the "Licensed" toggle is enabled

I don't have a set date for the next update yet, but there will be a new beta on our Discord server in about 10 days

Yes, I do plan to add GPUs. That'll likely be the next major addition after the architecture update

I'm glad you're liking it!

The ability to buy other companies is not implemented yet. It will be added in a future update!

Yeah, that's the problem with fabless companies. Unlike foundries and normal CPU companies, they don't have any mandatory expenses (maintenance costs). So if they do nothing, they can basically live forever

If they have a lot of money, they may be living off interest. You can check their finances in the Finance tab

Yes, architectures will be added in the next major update

It will be added in the next updates

That's fair enough. The game definitely needs a tutorial, or at least some kind of introduction

Thank you for the kind words!

I agree, licensing definitely needs some balancing. Some sort of relationship/trust mechanic would help a lot and also give a sense of progression

In January

Thanks!

Thank you for your kind words!

I haven't added cheats yet, that's why the option is disabled!

We do have a Discord, here!

I think the next patch might be the full 0.2.0 release, but I'm not sure yet when it's coming. That said, there will be a new beta on Discord in a few days

Fico feliz que tenha gostado!

Agradeço pela ajuda, mas no momento prefiro desenvolver o jogo sozinho!

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

But yeah, Very Hard requires a lot of min-maxing and luck. One possible strategy is to make a good enough chip for Industries, research 76mm Wafer as soon as possible, build one 51mm production line, and hope that you can sign a console or computer contract (since they ask for a small number of chips)

(1 edit)

On normal difficulty, you can start by making a CPU with minimum die size and maximum frequency with overclock, priced around $199 (increase or decrease the price if needed). That should give you enough money to research better tech for your second CPU

(1 edit)

There's a bit of luck involved, since you're competing with other companies for the contracts. You can try sending offers to as many contracts as possible, that way you have a pretty good chance of signing at least one.

Also, make sure to enable the "cancel offers" automation, to avoid signing contracts that exceed your production capacity

Cheats are not implemented yet!

GPUs will be added, yes. But I need to add architectures and coolers first!

I'm still working on it!

0.1.17 is coming in 1 or 2 weeks, but you can already play the beta on discord

You can play version 0.1.12f1 from the discord server, which is part of the 0.2 beta

I'm glad you like it!

I don't have a Patreon at the moment

Yes!

Expanding on the difference between SRAM and DRAM is actually an interesting idea

The game is still in development, yes. Thanks for the feedback!

I could add some cheats, sure

Yes, there's a list on Discord
