Who we are
PangolinWorks is an independent game studio. We currently publish:
- Rail Cart Buddies — a browser-based multiplayer cart game
- Blast Buddies — a browser-based multiplayer action game
- Keyboard Slime Escape — a browser-based multiplayer speed-running escape game

What data we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information. No account registration is required to play.
When you play, we may record:
- An anonymous session identifier (randomly generated, not linked to you)
- In-game events (match results, scores, round durations)
- Basic technical context (browser type, connection region) for matchmaking and debugging
- Aggregate performance counters (server response times, error rates)
Keyboard Slime Escape also stores persistent game progress against a pseudonymous player identifier. When the game is played through Poki, its platform services may provide a separate pseudonymous account identifier so progress can continue across sessions; we do not receive your email address or real-world identity from that identifier.
What we do not collect
- Names, email addresses, or real-world identities
- Payment or financial information
- Device location (GPS or IP-based geolocation beyond broad region)
- Personal data for third-party advertising networks or social platforms
- Data from minors — our games are not directed at children under 13
Nicknames and multiplayer
Some games let you enter a display name or nickname for a session. This name is visible to other players in the same match but is not stored permanently and is not linked to any account.
How we use the data
- Run the multiplayer session (matchmaking, game state sync)
- Monitor server health and fix bugs
- Understand aggregate gameplay patterns to improve game design
We do not sell or monetise data for our own purposes. Keyboard Slime Escape uses Poki platform services when it is hosted on Poki; those services may process advertising, platform, and aggregate gameplay events under Poki's own privacy policy. We only use those services to operate and improve the game.
Data storage and retention
Session and game data is stored on servers located in the EU (Hetzner, Falkenstein, Germany). Aggregate performance metrics are retained for up to 30 days. Anonymous session data is kept only as long as it is useful for the purposes described above. Persistent Keyboard Slime Escape progress is retained while the player account is active and can be deleted on request.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data tied to an identity, there is typically nothing to access or delete. If you believe any data associated with a session you participated in should be removed, reach out via our contact form and we will look into it promptly.
Cookies
We do not use PangolinWorks tracking or advertising cookies. A browser may store a session token in localStorage to maintain your connection during a game session. When Keyboard Slime Escape is played through Poki, Poki may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. We do not collect your email, so we cannot notify you directly — please check back if you have questions.
